When I feel overwhelmed or stuck, I take Susan’s advice and stop whatever it is that I am doing. I change focus and pick up a new book or get involved in a new project totally unrelated to whatever it is that I am doing.
This helps me relax and clear my mind.
The next time you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck, take a break and do something else. Stop and take a deep breath, go out for a walk or a hike, spend some time with a good friend, read a new book, meditate, listen/dance to some music. Taking a break instead of pushing yourself harder will help you re-energize and get refocused so that you are refueled and ready to go when you are ready to get back to your task at hand.
