Are you feeling stuck?
Do you feel like you know what your goals are and what you want to accomplish, but you just cannot seem to get up and get going with them?
Are you waiting for circumstances around you to change so that you can finally experience the changes that you want in your life?
Are you waiting for someone else to take the lead in your life, tell you what to do, or make those changes for you?
If so, then that tells me something about you.
It tells me that you are not in charge of your life. It tells me that you are like a passenger in the car of your life waiting for someone else to take the wheel and navigate it for you.
Is this where you want to be?
How is this ‘going with the flow’ attitude and approach helping you reach your greatest potential?
How does sitting in ‘the back seat’ help you accomplish your personal, professional or relationship goals?
I used to be someone who waited for things to happen to me. I used to hope and wait for others to change or for circumstances to change. I used to be a person who put her faith in chance and thought that ‘if it is meant to be, it’s meant to be.”
This old approach of mine benefited me. It gave me the excuse to not take any personal responsibility. It allowed me to remain passive and to blame others or certain circumstances when things did not turn out right.
This approach also left me feeling angry, frustrated, and not in control of my life.
Do you ever feel angry, frustrated and out of control?
If so, it might be time to change your approach. It might be time for you to stop waiting for things to happen to you and to start making them happen for you, instead.
Becoming a doer instead of a ‘waiter’ will give you the freedom to create the life that you want. Instead of waiting for something or someone else to change, you create the changes and the reality that you want to see; be it in your life, your career, or your relationships. You will feel powerful, instead of powerless. You will feel happy and fulfilled knowing that you are in control and are capable of accomplishing your goals and dreams.
You are capable of creating the life, career, and relationships that you want.
We all are. First, you have got to stop going with the flow, and instead start taking the wheel of the car of your life. If I can, so can you.
In support and admiration,
